Casso-Solar Technologies Ballistic Glass Bending Systems are typically configured as either single station or shuttle benders, with single station benders capable of being easily upgraded to shuttle benders. These systems can bend glass on either ring or full surface molds. Multiple windshields or sidelites can be done in the same batch to increase production rates. Shuttle bending systems contain preheat/anneal sections separate from the bending furnace to reduce processing time required in the bending furnace, increasing productivity.
Precise closed-loop heat control minimizes the creation of process slowing air gaps between the multiple layers of glass. Heaters can be placed on the mold to help expedite the bending process and crease heaters can be added to provide localized heat to form tight bend radii. Bending furnaces can be provided with up to (100) zones of control that can be configured into control groups for nearly unlimited flexibility. Part temperatures are monitored by optical pyrometers to ensure repeatability over time.
